Data Review Backup Formats

Data Review Department Acceptable Formats

Compulink prefers receiving backup data on CD, DVD, USB flash drive or external USB hard drive. As a courtesy and convenience, the following Backup Drives are available at Compulink's data review department. Please note, due to the wide range of backup drives, backup software and formats, Compulink cannot guarantee that every media supplied by our clients can be restored and reviewed for troubleshooting purposes. If the backup being sent to Compulink is not one of the 4 media types listed above, both the media type and the software must be listed below.

MEDIA:

	CD (CDR/CDRW)
	DVD
	USB Flash Drive
	External USB hard drive
	LTO-2
	DAT72
	DDS3 and DDS4
	DLT (80/160 and below)

SOFTWARE: (in the case that tape backup is sent)

	Veritas/Symantec Backup Exec
	Windows Native backup

In the event that none of the above mentioned solutions are available to send to Compulink, we can provide an external hard drives available as a loaner. Compulink's loaner External Hard Drive is available for $75.00. (shipping charges not included)
