Changing Lines per page on HP Printer

Problem:

When printing jobs are sent from the software, the printer will spool a second blank or one line page.

Solution:
Change the Lines per page or LINE FORM on HP Printer

bulletInsert CD for HP product.
bulletBrowse the CD using explorer and look for a file called DEFAULTS.PJL, usually found in the DOS or UTILITY folder.
bulletRight click and copy this file to the Root drive C:\ drive
bulletCheck the attributes make sure it is not read only
bulletGo to the Command Prompt or DOS prompt
bulletEdit C:\defaults.pjl
bulletChange or edit the lines from 60 to 66 and Save

NOTE: In some of the more recent printers such as HP LaserJet 4100, 4200 and 4300, the LINE FORM option is located in the printing menu of the actual printer's control panel and editing the DEFAULTS.PJL file is not necessary.
