Rev: 07/18/05

Getting Started:

  1. The Dymo Label Printer must be installed with appropriate drivers on the computer where it will be used. The Dymo drivers can be installed using the CD or by visiting http://www.dymo.com download page for the most current software and up to date drivers.

  2. Make sure you are able to print a test page to the Dymo software before loading the program files for the Compulink Program.

  3. Load and inflate the appropriate program files, for the 330 Turbo Model the file is called SLP330T.EXE. For the 400 Turbo Model the file is called SLP400T.EXE both and other label files can be downloaded from the Compulink Support webpage:

http://compulink-support.com/downloads.htm (Dymo and Datamax Installation Files

Loading files sent through CBSmail:

The following Compulink Dymo files are downloaded in the CBSmail directory: SLP330T.EXE or SLP400T.exe. For other custom label files please call Compulink Support at 1-800-888-8075.

a)     Connect to the internet and launch the CBSmail program, check the mail and this should download the program file for the label printer.

b)     Go to the DOS prompt and change the directory so that you’re at the Advantage software prompt (i.e. “X:\Eyecare” or “X:\Eyemd”).

c)      Check to make sure that the appropriate Compulink Dymo file is in the product directory.

d)     At the product prompt, (i.e. “X:\Eyecare” or “X:\Eyemd”) type the appropriate command (i.e. slp330t.exe  press ENTER. This will inflate the following files. e)     If old label files exist in the product directory, overwrite by hitting “Y” for yes or “A” yes to all. (Important Note: Only overwrite existing files if you are sure that these are not “custom label” files.

f)       When the process is complete, exit out of DOS by typing EXIT on the prompt.

Setting up Dymo Label Printers on a WAN / Terminal Server

bullet

The Dymo Label Printer has to be installed and able to print locally on the remote site.

bullet

Log on to the terminal server/remote desktop connection and launch Printer and Faxes window. From the main window click on File / Server Properties. Click on the Drivers Tab and add the specific driver that was use to install the printer driver from the local station on the remote site. Log off from the terminal session and re-log back on.

bullet

If the driver from the local station and the server session match, this will create a session printer for the Dymo. For example: Dymo LabelWriter 330 Turbo on Session 5

(Note: Driver version must match between the local and the server install)

bullet

Go into the Compulink Advantage program directory i.e. X:\Eyecare and verify that one of the following files exist: Address.ini and Address.exe, Patbc.ini and Patbc.exe, LblFrame.ini and Slp.exe, LblCL.ini and Slpcl.exe, LblBlank.ini and Slpblank.exe, LblMisc.ini and Slpmisc.exe. These files will create the handshake necessary between the Compulink Advantage software and Dymo printer.

bullet

Launch the Compulink Advantage software, you are now ready to print the labels.
