Dymo Prints a Blank Label (HW116)

Problem: The DYMO EL60 and TURBO will print a blank label from EYECARE when a user installs 1-1/8” x 3-1/2” label.

Solution: Change the type of the label in PRINTER PROPERTIES (START -> SETTING -> PRINTER then right click on PRINTER driver and left click on PROPERTIES) from 30323 (2-1/8” x 4”) to 30252 (1-1/8” x 3-1/2”). It is in a PAPER tab under Printer Properties.

Remark: Modifying INI files (YPOS) will solve this problem also, but changing the type of label will be a lot easier and more accurate.

Reason: DYMO EL60 and TURBO printers will be able to print up to 2” width label - DYMO EL40 will print up to 1” width label only. By default, the printer driver for EL60 and TURBO will assume that a user will use 2” width labels that come with a printer. After you install a printer driver, DYMO EL60 and TURBO driver will assume that a user loads 2” label into a printer. This will cause the printer to print a blank label when the client loads 1” label into a printer.

Problem:

Dymo printer does not print from Compulink Software.

Solution:

Make sure the driver is installed correctly in Windows.

If a test page can be successfully be sent to the printer, set the printer as default printer.

If it prints in Compulink software once set as the default printer, install the latest drivers for Dymo label printer.

file name: LWUniDrv200XP.zip or .exe

OR

You may need to modify the YPOS values to adjust the label positions. Files to Edit are LBLFRAME.INI and PATBC.INI.  Change Y positio to 0.
