After inflating the EXCEL.EXE file you will then need to export the needed files into a Microsoft Excel Format. To do this you will need to double click on the file needed to Export the Table. Then you will need to open in Excel the file that was created to work with. EXAMPLE: Lens Pricing Table Example: Go to My Computer -> Select Compulink Drive (i.e. C:\) -> Double Click on Compulink Folder (i.e. EYEMD) -> Double Click on EXPSPEC.EXE file. This will have created a file called SPECCOST.CSV. You will then Open Microsoft Excel -> Select File -> Open -> Change File Type to ALL FILES -> Look for Speccost.csv within your Compulink folder. You may now modify the table within EXCEL. Once you have completed your Modifications, you will need to Import back into the Compulink Software. To do this you will need to: MAKE SURE YOU HAVE A BACKUP OF THE ORIGINAL TABLES Go to My Computer -> Select Compulink Drive (i.e. C:\) -> Double Click on Compulink Folder (i.e. EYEMD) -> Double Click on IMPORTER.EXE file. Then you will be asked which table you are importing. In this case you would select L for Lens Pricing. Then next question is whether the item you selected is correct. If Yes hit Y on your Keyboard. Then you will be asked whether to clear all records, select YES. When this is done. You will be able to view the completed table within the Compulink Software. All the above files can be downloaded from a self extracting file here: BY: MLC - 04/2002 |
