Error: "Cannot Find Working Folder for This Program, etc..." or re-mapping a drive
Solution: 1) Right click on the shortcut you're trying to execute (i.e., Eyecare), go to Properties -> In the Shortcut tab you will find the Working Directory or the Target used. Take note of the drive letter, (i.e. D:). The full path or target is usually the mapped drive that was used, the Folder and the executable. Example: X:\EYECARE\EYECARE.EXE Exit from the Properties back to the Desktop.
2) Right click on My Computer -> Select Map Network Drive -> Select the drive letter noted above -> Click on the down arrow located at the end of the path field -> There you will find the path to the server drive and share (i.e.\\Server\Netdrive) -> Left click on it once -> Make sure Reconnect at Logon is checked -> Click on Ok. Done. If the path does not appear check the server name and share. Keyword: mapping |
