How to Disable Dell's Background Image for Terminal Servers

Problem:

Dell Servers by default have a color 24 bit image that is displayed every time a user connects to the session on the server. This image can increase the login time for the users and delay the launch of the application.

Solution:

Navigate to: HKEY_Users\.Default\Control Panel\Desktop and delete the value of the Wallpaper key. Windows session will display the standard gray background after the change.

If you'd like to change the image, you may be able to find it in the following directory and by the following name: \windows\system32\DELLWALL.BMP
